WHAT DO I GET?

Starting pay is commensurate with knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k, PTO, pet insurance, and paid holidays.

MUST HAVES

Two years of full cycle medical billing experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Committed patient advocate helping to decipher the complexities surrounding insurance claims. Team player who is passionate and enthusiastic about helping people. Positive attitude and fun to work with. Ability to multitask and adapt quickly. Excellent at maintaining precision when entering and processing data.

WHAT WILL I DO?

Enter information necessary for insurance claims such as patient, insurance ID, diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers, and provider information. Submit insurance claims to clearinghouse or individual insurance companies electronically or via paper CMS-1500 form. Follow up with insurance company on unpaid or rejected claims. Resolve issue and re-submit claims within standard billing cycle timeframe. Prepare appeal letters to insurance carrier when not in agreement with claim denial. Work with patients to establish payment plan for past due accounts. Post insurance and patient payments using medical claim billing software.

IT’S A PLUS IF YOU HAVE THIS!

Bilingual in Spanish/English. Certified Professional Coder. Experience with eClinical Works (eCW).
