Job title – Audio/Visual (AV) Support Assistant

Location – Durham, NC 27707

Job type – 6 months contract with possible extension

Role Overview

• Hands-on Audio/Visual (AV) support experience
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other collaboration platforms
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• IT Help Desk experience
• Corporate event or conference room support

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior AV Manager with daily AV operations.
• Set up, test, and troubleshoot AV equipment in conference rooms and event spaces.
• Provide onsite support for in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings.
• Assist users with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and presentation technology.
• Perform routine AV maintenance, room readiness checks, and inventory management.
• Track incidents through the ticketing system and document resolutions.
• Support live streaming, recordings, and event setup while maintaining a safe and professional work environment .

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 1 year of customer-facing experience in AV support, IT Help Desk, event support, or a related field.
• Knowledge of AV equipment, including displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, HDMI/DisplayPort connectivity, and basic signal flow.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and basic PC/Mac troubleshooting .
