Details Float pool position covering MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital Adult to geriatric patient population Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on PCU and 1:5-6 on MS/MS Tele units Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM Every other weekend required (average of 6 weekends over a 13-week contract) Floating required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units No on-call requirements Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent relevant nursing experience required Epic charting system experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry monitoring Experience with respiratory care including oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care across MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units as part of a hospital float pool Navy blue scrubs required Max RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized at time of submission No RTO can be requested during orientation week or after offer/onsite Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day) First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate Previous Piedmont employees (Perm/Per Diem/FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler Travelers who cancel or receive a facility DNR must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying No special scheduling requests permitted; shift as listed is firm Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift on the same unit American Traveler Job ID P-750119.
