We currently have an opportunity for a Sanitation Technician at our Winchester, VA pasta production facility, where we produce Ronzoni pasta. The Sanitation Technician performs essential work, cleaning and sanitizing our non-production areas and other parts of our facilities to ensure safe and edible product is produced consistent with food safety standards.Responsibilities:Follow sanitation checklist and best practices to complete regular, thorough cleaning of assigned areas (restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, entrances, locker rooms, offices, laboratory), and maintain master sanitation scheduleMaintain proper inventory by stocking cleaning supplies, paper goods, chemicals, and cleaning equipmentMonitor pest traps and activity on a weekly basis, and proactively report any signs of infestations to leadershipMonitor and report all product protection issues and maintenance needs as they arisePractice appropriate safety procedures when performing work assignments, and support clean-up in the event of an accident or injury on company propertyQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institutionAble to work weekends, holidays, and overtimeAt least 18 years of agePreferred Qualifications:Manufacturing experience, with strong preference for experience in a food manufacturing environmentPhysical Requirements:Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:Lift up to 50 pounds; anything over this weight will require team lifting techniques or the use of mechanical lifting devicesWork in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment 6+ hours per shiftSit, stoop, reach above shoulders, climb and work off ladder/stairs, and perform fine manipulation for 3+ hours per shiftBend, crouch, and kneel for 6+ hours per shiftStand, walk, perform simple grasping, and push/pull for 8+ hours per shiftMust be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written word and distinguish objects or equipment visually
