Title: Manager – Learning Site Lead, Franklin Manufacturing

What You Will Do:

The Learning Site Lead is responsible for driving Learning systems and Initiatives that enable both individual & organizational growth to propel business priorities forward. This role will also serve as a point of contact for HR Business Partners, Managers and Employees as it relates to onboarding and the new hire experience. This role will report to AVP – Operational Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support evaluation of current training program and help set priorities and improvement strategies, specially focused on critical roles, such as operators, processor among others.
• Locally own the creation, management, enforcement, tracking, and improvement of the Training, Learning and Education pillar within the plant’s Continuous Improvement / TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and analytics program.
• Partner with the Local HR Site Lead and Plant Leadership to identify technical skill gaps, advocating for the unique operational and shift-coverage needs of the plant population at the Corporate Level.
• Collaborate with departments to develop, update, and implement skill matrices, ensuring alignment, clarity, and effective communication to site leadership.
• Manage site annual training calendar, including all the key disciplines Safety, Quality and Performance.
• Collaborate with North America Zone Learning Leadership, site EHS+Q lead, and Continuous Improvement lead to create and drive a training program complementing the short-term operational needs and long-term roadmap of the site.
• Facilitate and administer compliance, technical, and professional development trainings in accordance with the PD&L strategy and local plant needs assessments.
• Facilitating New Hire Plant Orientation, including critical introductions to onsite EHS, quality standards, and floor-level technical trainers/subject matter experts.
• Enrollment of eligible new hires and manufacturing employees into corporate-led trainings such as Discovery.
• Ensure employees complete required My Learning trainings such as Unconscious Bias, Ethics, Green Steps, and critical plant safety protocols.
• Delivering leadership development micro-learning sessions (tailored for shift managers and supervisors) on a consistent schedule as part of the onboarding and upskilling journey.
• Holding new hires and hiring managers accountable to technical, operational, and functional training requirements as dictated in the LMS and New Hire Guide.
• Updating content and re-circulating the Plant New Hire Guide to ensure high adoption rates across shifts (2x/year).
• Serving as point of contact for participants in the Functional SME / Technical Trainer Program, including nomination/selection process, program orientation, quarterly check-ins, and playbook updates.
• Managing the localized Buddy / On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program, including facilitating Week 1 introductions, pairing with experienced operators, and cascading training manuals.
• Administering data collection activities (such as skills matrices and training audits) to evaluate and improve the plant learning journey.
• Benchmark internal and external manufacturing best practices to drive excellence in plant learning and education.
• Obtain Learning Certification for the site in order to manage back-end data of all learn-space records (registration, compliance tracking, documentation, audit readiness, etc.).
• Responsible for governance of all site-specific and safety-critical learning requirements, inclusive of but not limited to:

• Forklift and material handling equipment certification
• EHS Policy, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), GMP, and compliance training
• Facilitating walkthroughs of HR platforms and manufacturing tools (e.g., One Profile, digital learning kiosks, etc.)

• Serve as the training subject matter expert during internal and external plant compliance audits (e.g., EHS, Quality/GMP, safety audits), ensuring training matrices and records are fully up to date and audit ready.
• Manage all site communications around relevant PD&L initiatives, shift meetings, and plant-wide learning milestones.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications: 

• Manufacturing & Operations Experience: Understanding of plant operations, manufacturing flows, and shop-floor fulfillment/distribution activities.
• Cross-Functional & Shop-Floor Collaboration: Proven ability to partner with plant leadership (Operations, Quality, EHS) while driving hands-on tactical execution, floor-level training compliance, and standard work enforcement with supervisors, team leads, and production operators.
• Work Experience in Learning / HR: Background in manufacturing talent development or plant HR preferred.
• Developing and Delivering Solutions: Instructional design, practical storytelling, and engaging on-the-floor or classroom facilitation tailored for manufacturing teams.
• Learning Practice Knowledge: Strong grasp of adult learning principles and operational training best practices (e.g., On-the-Job Training (OJT), standard operating procedures, and skills matrix management).
• Consultation: Ability to consult with plant managers and supervisors to identify performance gaps and design targeted learning solutions.
• Creativity and Innovation: Problem-solving mindset (e.g., Kaizen/Continuous Improvement approach) to troubleshoot operational training hurdles and explore new delivery methods for shift workers.
• Business Acumen: Familiarity with plant KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale - SQDCM), operational challenges, and manufacturing efficiency trends.
• Data Analysis: Ability to analyze training tracking, compliance metrics, and skills gaps to drive plant results.
• Project and Time Management: Ability to set clear goals, manage multiple plant priorities, and deliver learning initiatives on time.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align plant educational goals with overall supply chain/manufacturing objectives and link training to operational performance.

• Base Salary Range: $90,200 - $128,500 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
