About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Virginia**Start Date:** August 24, 2026 **Location:** Salem, Virginia **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or Night shift available; Four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period; No on-call required**Highlights:**- 27-bed Emergency Department with high-acuity, fast-paced environment- Patient ratios typically 4-6:1 with robust staffing model- EMR: Meditech- Procedures include RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, psychiatric patient care, and EMTALA transfers- No floating required- Scrub color: Navy blue or white**Requirements:**- Active RN license- 2-3 years of Emergency Department experience required- Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required- Preferred: ENPC, NRP, NIH certification- Experience in high-acuity emergency departments with high patient volume preferred- Experience with 5:1 patient ratios preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a collaborative and supportive Emergency Department team that values a relaxed, friendly, and respectful work environment.
