GIS Analyst II

Salary: $73,424.00 - $90,334.00 Annually Application Deadline: N/A The purpose of this job is to lead and drive innovation, design, planning, and implementation of Geographic Information Systems ( GIS ) and related applications. This position performs the most complex tasks involving GIS analysis, database design and management, system architecture, and application development. The role also includes project management responsibilities for planning and executing projects. Additionally, this position communicates complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical GIS users. Performs complex data analysis using ArcGIS software, related extensions, relational databases, and other computer software. Designs, develops, and maintains GIS and relational databases in multiple formats to support organizational needs. Creates and implements custom GIS applications for both desktop and web environments. Collaborates with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver meaningful, data-driven reports, maps, and visualizations. Leads team efforts to identify and implement effective approaches for project completion. Assists with project management activities. Communicates complex technical concepts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to non-technical users. Provides coaching and technical training to staff. Creates and maintains technical records and standard operating procedures. Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function. Performs other duties as assigned Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS , or related filed. 5 to 7 years’ experience with enterprise GIS systems. Knowledge of: ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Python, JSON , XML , PowerShell, Structured Query Language ( SQL ) and Arcade. Experience Builder, Dashboards, Survey123 and Field Maps. Utility Network data model/framework. Imagery and LIDAR processing.
