Job Title

Registered Nurse – Pediatric PACU

Location

Seattle, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | 4x10-Hour Shifts | Day/Evening (Start times range from 6:30 AM – 1:00 PM) | On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-anesthesia recovery care for pediatric patients in a PACU setting
• Manage care for acutely ill pediatric patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and complexity levels
• Perform central line management and provide care for tracheostomy patients
• Participate in on-call rotation as determined by the unit-based staffing committee (currently 4 hours per 6-week cycle)
• Complete required pre-start orientation modules prior to the first day of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license (candidates without a Washington license must be willing to apply upon offer)
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience with at least 30–40% pediatric patient population
• Experience with central line management and tracheostomy patients required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care experience strongly preferred
• Experience with IV access, ventilator management, and dedicated pediatric care settings
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience
• Background in academic or multi-setting PACU environments with varied, high-acuity patient populations
