Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant on behalf of an established real estate development and project management organization join its growing team in Northern, VA (Virginia).

In this role, you will support accurate, timely accounting across a portfolio of project management and development entities.

Responsibilities include preparing journal entries and account reconciliations; maintaining records in QuickBooks Online; generating and tracking milestone-based invoices, including reimbursables; reviewing and processing vendor invoices and payments; supporting lender draw packages; and assisting a senior accountant with development, investor, and ownership-entity accounting. You'll also help with month-end and year-end close, accruals, financial statement preparation, and documentation for the firm's outside tax accountant, all while keeping records GAAP-compliant and audit-ready.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of accounting experience and solid fundamentals that allow them to contribute quickly with minimal ramp-up.

Experience managing multiple entities, QuickBooks Online proficiency, and exposure to real estate or development accounting are strong pluses. You should be highly accurate and detail-oriented, comfortable handling a high volume of work, and able to build strong working relationships with project managers, office staff, and outside vendors. xhyhwjd
