This position is with the Northeast Region General Services Team and will be filled in Jacksonville office. The Incumbent will support the Northeast Region performing preventative maintenance tasks, maintenance repairs, records management tasks, fleet management, property inventory and management, facility oversight, and some purchasing related tasks through approved vendors. This position requires occasional travel in the Northeast Region from Madison to Deland.

Duties Include:

• Perform and document preventative maintenance tasks for DCF state-owned facilities and warehouses in the Northeast Region. This includes preventative maintenance for all HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire and Life Safety equipment.
• Perform light maintenance tasks for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Door Hardware for all facilities and warehouses in the Northeast Region. This may also include obtaining quotes and scheduling vendors to assist in repairs when needed.
• Provides support and assistance relating to property accountability and inventory, records management, fleet management, and any other General Services related tasks as needed.
• Provides assistance with procurement and purchasing of goods and services for maintenance of state-owned buildings and Northeast Region General Services related projects.
• Process records requests, coordinates pickup and transfer of records, maintains and updates inventory of records in the regional records management systems.
• Assist the Northeast Region during hurricane response or activations. Some daytime travel with occasional overnight travel within the Northeast region. Use of ladders and equipment to perform required maintenance duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years General Services or Maintenance related work experience, a high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with building maintenance functions and preventative maintenance tasks for multiple buildings.
• General Services and/or Facilities experience.
• State of Florida Property and Inventory experience.
• HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical Experience.
• Customer service experience.

• Principles and practices of facilities maintenance, preventative maintenance, and property management.

• Ability to use step ladder and lift up to 50 lbs.
