Are you an energetic and hospitality-driven professional with a passion for creating great first impressions? Southern Chicago Restaurant is seeking highly skilled and self-sufficient Hosts to join our dynamic team.
Welcome Guests Warmly: Greet every guest with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm while creating an inviting first impression of the restaurant.
Manage Seating Flow: Coordinate reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and table rotation to ensure smooth and efficient seating throughout service.
Communicate with Staff: Work closely with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to maintain proper pacing, table readiness, and guest satisfaction.
Maintain Front Door Standards: Ensure the host stand, entryway, waiting area, and surrounding spaces remain clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
Handle Guest Inquiries: Answer phones, provide reservation information, assist with directions, and respond to guest questions professionally.
Support Guest Experience: Recognize special occasions, assist with accommodations, and help resolve concerns quickly to create a positive experience.
Stay Updated: Keep current on reservations, private events, special promotions, menu updates, and daily service notes.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in hospitality, hosting, customer service, or upscale restaurant environments preferred.
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with a polished and professional demeanor.
Organization: Ability to multitask, manage guest flow, and remain calm under pressure during busy service periods.
Customer Focus: Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Attention to Detail: Strong awareness of timing, presentation, cleanliness, and guest needs.
Availability: Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
