The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at Mississippi Christian University is able to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced PA to lead our unique program.

The Program

The Physician Assistant Program at Mississippi Christian University is a 30-month program of study leading to a Master of Science in Medicine degree. The maximum class size is 36. The primary mission of the Mississippi Christian Physician Assistant Program is to educate and train students to provide high-quality medical care for the people of Mississippi and the nation as members of the healthcare team. We enjoy a collaborative relationship with the University of Mississippi Medical School.  We are home to a modern medical education facility, a state-of-the-art cadaver lab, and a new medical simulation center. We also prepare our students for service at international clinical rotation sites, if desired.

The Position

Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A minimum of five years of clinical experience and three additional years of academic (or health-related teaching and/or administrative) experience is required. Minimum requirements also include current or emeritus NCCPA certification and a Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field. All employees of the University must be of the Christian faith.

Importantly, our program has just undergone a self-study report and site visit process for another continuing accreditation cycle.
