Solution Architecture Support

Senior Azure AI Solution ArchitectOur client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Senior Azure AI Solution Architect to drive the design and implementation of scalable AI and Generative AI solutions. This fully remote, contract role is ideal for a senior-level architect with deep Microsoft Azure expertise and a proven track record in AI solution design and technical leadership. You will collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, AI enablement, engineering, and business teams to translate business use cases into robust technical designs, evaluate and recommend Azure services, and ensure all solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, and integration. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between strategic architecture conversations, detailed solution design, and direct collaboration with development teams, and can quickly step into a lean environment to take ownership of complex AI architecture work with minimal ramp-up. Experience in healthcare or health insurance environments is highly preferred.Design end-to-end solution architectures for AI and Generative AI initiatives using Microsoft AzurePartner with AI enablement, Enterprise Architecture, engineering, and business teams to translate use cases into scalable technical designsEvaluate architecture options and recommend appropriate Azure services, patterns, and integrationsDevelop or contribute directly to proofs of concept to validate new AI capabilitiesProvide hands-on technical guidance to engineering and development teams throughout implementationSupport multiple AI-related workstreams and enterprise technology initiatives simultaneouslyReview vendor-proposed architectures and provide technical direction and oversightEnsure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, scalability, and integration standardsCommunicate technical designs and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and leadershipHelp establish reusable architecture patterns for future AI initiativesExtensive experience as a Solution Architect, Cloud Architect, or Enterprise ArchitectStrong Microsoft Azure architecture experienceDeep understanding of AI, Generative AI, and modern AI application architectureExperience designing AI solutions from both an architecture and development perspectiveAbility to work hands-on, including building or supporting technical proofs of conceptStrong understanding of cloud-native architecture, APIs, integrations, and distributed application designAbility to work directly with developers and engineering teams, not just at a conceptual levelExperience managing multiple architecture initiatives or workstreams in a complex enterprise environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to interact across architecture, engineering, and business teamsPrevious experience within healthcare, health insurance, or payer environments (preferred)Experience supporting claims, clinical, or healthcare operations systems (preferred)Experience implementing AI solutions within highly regulated enterprise environments (preferred)Familiarity with Azure AI services and Microsoft's broader AI ecosystem (preferred)Experience working within or alongside an Enterprise Architecture organization (preferred)Opportunity to lead high-impact AI initiatives in a large, complex healthcare environmentFully remote role with flexible work arrangementsCompetitive hourly compensationPotential for contract extension or conversionCollaborative, innovative, and supportive team culture
