Registered Veterinary Technician - Village Vet of Urbana

Position Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) – Full-Time or Part-Time Location 3315 Worthington Boulevard, Ijamsville, MD 21754 Pay $25–$30/hour based on experience. Schedule Typically four 8 AM – 6 PM weekday shifts Every other Saturday 8 AM – 12 PM Half day during the week when scheduled Saturday About The Hospital 5 veterinarians Primarily single‑doctor days with occasional two‑doctor overlap Cornerstone software Idexx lab equipment Ultrasound, soft‑tissue surgery, dentistry with extractions, laser therapy, and pocket pet care RVTs perform dental radiographs and can be trained on dental nerve blocks Your Impact Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work. Guide and support the medical team, ensuring efficient workflow while mentoring others. Act as key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing records, and answering questions. Contribute to a positive culture by training, providing feedback, and maintaining high standards. Requirements Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program. Current state veterinary technician license in good standing. Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures. Calm and efficient approach in fast‑paced or stressful situations. Strong communication skills and passion for collaborative work. One year of experience in the veterinary industry preferred.
