Title: Human Services Program Coordinator State Role Title: Community and Social Svc Specialists, All Other Hiring Range: $74,160 - $87,689 Pay Band: 5 Agency: Virginia Department of Health Location: VDH-Central Office Agency Website: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties The Division of Community Nutrition (DCN) is responsible for the administration of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in Virginia. As part of this responsibility, DCN provides administrative and technical assistance to sponsoring organizations and institutions at locations statewide. The main function of the position supports the delivery of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in program development, monitoring, analysis, recommending policy and procedures, program research, evaluation changes in rules and regulations for impact on service delivery. This position requires independently performing regional compliance reviews at institutions and sponsors of institutions participating in the CACFP; assessing organizational compliance with Federal and State regulations; identifying systemic weaknesses, errors, deficiencies, or fraud; providing technical assistance and training during onsite reviews and the application process; preparing reports for submission to the US Department of Agriculture. This position requires a considerable amount of time traveling across the state to conduct compliance reviews. Hybrid telework available after mandatory on-site 3-month orientation. This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the USDA – CACFP grant for the period ending 9/30/2027. The availability of funding is scheduled for review annually thereafter. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of program planning, research, evaluation, and quality control methods. Experience in providing technical assistance related to program development and analysis. Experience in interpreting and implementing federal regulations. Ability to interpret and implement data collection and reporting requirements. Experience leading complex research or related projects. Ability to develop reports and manage electronic data. Skilled in presenting information clearly and effectively. Strong communication skills, verbal and written, provide leadership, set priorities, facilitate collaboration, and effectively convey information to others.
