This unit focuses on delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to help patients achieve functional improvements and independence.Unit SpecificsNumber of Beds: 35Patient Ratios: 5-7:1Staffing Description: Unit secretaries and tech availability, with typically 2-4 techs based on censusType of Equipment: Vitals machines, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Bladder scannersDocumentation System: MeditechScheduling Requirements: 12-hour shifts, every other weekendFloating Policy: May be floated to other Med Surg departmentsPatient Experience Requirements: Rehabilitation experience preferredResponsibilitiesAdminister medications, including IVs and tube feedingConduct bladder scans and provide tracheostomy carePerform bladder irrigation and Foley catheterizationManage blood administration proceduresQualificationsMust Have:Rehabilitation experienceBLS certificationVirginia nursing licensePreferred:Medical-Surgical experienceAdvanced skills not requiredDress CodeSolid navy blue or white scrubs are required.Awards and RecognitionExperience a collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiatrists, physician assistants, and neuropsychologists, to support patient goals towards functional independence.Client Details Address 1900 ELECTRIC ROAD State VA Zip Code 24153
