GENERAL PURPOSE

The Engineer III role focuses on designing and delivering robust full-stack solutions using Angular for dynamic, responsive front-end experiences and Spring Boot for scalable, high-performing back‑end services. This role involves building and optimizing web‑based interfaces for complex business workflows, developing RESTful APIs and microservices, and ensuring seamless integration between front‑end and back‑end systems. The engineer will implement reusable UI components and modular back‑end architecture to drive consistency and maintainability, while collaborating cross‑functionally to deliver end‑to‑end features and providing ongoing support and enhancements to sustain performance, reliability, and usability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Designing, developing, and optimizing end‑to‑end applications using Angular for dynamic front‑end interfaces and Spring Boot for scalable, high‑performing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implementing Micro Frontend architectures and modular component‑based design on the frontend, complemented by well‑structured backend service boundaries and domain‑driven design principles
• Collaborating cross‑functionally with product, UX, and engineering teams to integrate seamlessly across all layers of the stack, ensuring cohesive and reliable application functionality.
• Utilizing UX design tools such as Figma to translate wireframes and prototypes into high‑quality, interactive user interfaces, while ensuring full backend alignment with API contracts and data models.
• Leveraging AI‑powered development tools like GitHub Copilot and MCP server‑based integrations to improve developer productivity and code quality.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using standard tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Ensuring adherence to coding standards, accessibility guidelines, and responsive design principles, and backend best practices including security, input validation, and API versioning.
• Providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing applications to maintain usability and performance.
• Working in the Retail domain, understanding business workflows and customer‑facing application needs.
• Developing Azure cloud‑native applications as well as on‑premises solutions, ensuring flexibility and scalability across environments.

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with extensive hands‑on frontend development and at least 3+ years in senior or lead roles.
• Proven ability to design and deliver enterprise‑grade applications, preferably in the Retail domain, with a strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and performance optimization, and backend scalability.
• Deep expertise in Angular for frontend development and Spring Boot for building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices, with proficiency in other modern frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Hands‑on experience with UX design tools like Figma for UI/UX collaboration, coupled with the ability to translate designs into fully integrated end‑to‑end features.
• Strong knowledge of Micro Frontend architectures and component‑based design principles, and backend design patterns such as microservices and event‑driven architecture.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), with experience deploying and managing full‑stack applications in cloud environments.
• Ability to leverage AI‑powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and MCP server‑based integrations to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to creatively solve complex technical problems.
• Strong collaboration skills, capable of working independently and in team settings, mentoring junior developers, and leading technical discussion across frontend, backend, and cross‑functional teams.

PREFERRED:

• Experience and certification in Azure Cloud development.
• Good understanding of IT security principles.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, industry certifications, and relevant experience.

The base pay range for this role $134,300.00 to $229,400.00. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
