Member Consultant I (Beacon Hill/ Rainier Branch)

Brief Description Verity is hiring for a Full-Time Member Consultant I at our Beacon Hill/Rainier Branch. At Verity, we empower our members’ financial lives and create vibrant communities. How You Can Make a Difference The Member Consultant I enhances our members’ lives by creating trusted relationships. The Member Consultant I handles all in-branch transactions and member service requests, opens secondary deposit accounts and non-real estate consumer loans, educates members on alternate ways to transact on their accounts, and cross-sells additional products and services that benefit members. This position will work on the teller line and at platform desks to ensure a seamless member experience. Work Culture We know it is more than just a job. Some ways we help employees live their best lives: Base Pay: This position has a salary range of $23.67 (minimum) to $35.51 (maximum), with a midpoint of $29.59. Starting pay is offered based upon an applicant’s experience and education relevant to the position. Commission / Incentive Pay: This position qualifies for monthly incentives. Paid Time Off: All Verity employees receive 11 paid holidays per year, as well as paid time off (PTO is combined vacation and sick leave.) PTO starts accruing immediately at a rate of 20 days per year. Benefits: Both full and part time employees (and their family) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, with a no cost option available for employee only coverage! Employees have the option to enroll in our 401k plan and receive an employer match up to 6%. Other Benefits: This position is eligible for annual cash bonuses up to 1% and a 1% profit-sharing bonus to 401k accounts based on company performance. Essential Job Functions Adhere to the Verity Experience Process in every member interaction. Listen to the member and understand their goals. Identify ways to cross sell Verity’s products and services. Capture relevant information and input it into our CRM system. Value our members’ time by accurately and efficiently processing transactions including wires, payments, and IRA distributions. Resolve member issues; emotionally and operationally, while adhering to Verity’s policies and procedures. Originate, process, and fund consumer loans including credit cards, lines of credit, and auto loans. Originate deposit accounts including checking, savings, money market, and certificates of deposit. Collaborate with your team to achieve sales, service and community goals. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications And Requirements Education and Experience Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years experience in a financial institution. Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and good organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform minor mathematical calculations and collect and analyze data. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to present a positive and professional image to all employees and members. Ability to organize and prioritize to meet work deadlines. Problem-solving skills.
