Were a local leader in addiction treatment offering evidence-based therapies tailored to each patients path to long-term wellness and our dietary team plays a direct role in that healing one meal at a time. Were looking for a Dietary Cook for our Dayton location who takes pride in preparing meals that nourish both body and spirit.
What Youll Do
Meal Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu and dietary guidelines
- Adapt recipes to accommodate allergies restrictions and individual preferences
Meal Delivery & Catering
- Deliver meals to local DeCoach housing locations
- Support monthly catering events
Food Safety & Sanitation
- Follow proper food handling and storage protocols
- Keep kitchen appliances and equipment clean and organized
- Meet health department standards and facility policy
Menu Management
- Collaborate with the dietary manager on menu planning and updates
- Manage portion control and reduce food waste
Inventory & Supplies
- Track food supplies and flag replenishment needs
- Ensure ingredients are fresh and high quality
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with dietary aides for smooth service
- Communicate with nursing staff and dietitians on resident-specific dietary needs
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Drivers License
- Cooking experience in healthcare hospitality or a similar setting preferred
- Working knowledge of special diets (low sodium diabetic etc.)
- Strong culinary and knife skills
- Excellent time management and organization
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a hot fast-paced kitchen environment
