Assistant Business Office Manager - Nursing Home

Experience working in the nursing home environment a must. Florida Medicaid (ICP) knowledge preferred.

Job Summary:

At Middleburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we are seeking an experienced and organized Assistant Business Office Manager to join our Skilled Nursing Facility Financial Services Office. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Business Office Manager, ensuring the efficient operation of our financial services department.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Business Office Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the Business Office, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management

• Process and manage patient financial information, including billing, insurance claims, and patient payments

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and statement reconciliations

• Perform general accounting tasks, such as reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies

• Prepare and review financial reports, including budget variance reports and financial statements

• Assist in preparing and submitting reports to regulatory agencies and external stakeholders

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment

• Other duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager or Administrator

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 0 years of experience in a healthcare or business office setting

• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
