Maintenance Technician

Join us at Saint-Gobain, Williamsburg, MI-Maintenance Technician, 1st shift; 6AM-2:30PM; Pay depending on experience $22.00 to 24.44/hr; bonus & OT Available.

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands-on position where you'll use your mechanical expertise to troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across our facility. You'll work alongside a supportive team while enjoying the autonomy to solve problems and make a meaningful impact every day.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems, machinery, and production equipment.

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions to complete maintenance activities accurately.

• Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and reliability enhancements.

• Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and industry standards.

• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives through compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) practices.

• Collaborate with team members and production personnel to keep operations running smoothly.

• Participate in occasional overtime and weekend support as business needs require.

**All Required Skills:

Required Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Experience operating maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.

• Knowledge of MIOSHA/OSHA safety standards and best practices.

• Proven diagnostic and root-cause troubleshooting abilities.

• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and hazardous material systems.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels.

• Understanding of SOPs, quality systems, ISO standards, and GMP requirements.

• Flexible and adaptable in responding to changing priorities and operational needs.
