Position Description
The Pride Center at Bridgewater State University is to support LGBTQIA+ students and their peers, and to foster a campus climate of inclusion and equity. Pride Center Peer Liaisons will set the tone for the daily activities in the Pride Center, along with gatherings and events. They welcome visitors/attendees and ensure that all visitors/attendees are included and feel safe and respected while attending programs and events hosted by the Center. Peer Liaisons will also:
Working at a computer, ability to lift items up to 20 pounds. Special Conditions for Eligibility

Work Study Peer Liaison
Position Description
The Pride Center at Bridgewater State University is to support LGBTQIA+ students and their peers, and to foster a campus climate of inclusion and equity. Pride Center Peer Liaisons will set the tone for the daily activities in the Pride Center, along with gatherings and events. They welcome visitors/attendees and ensure that all visitors/attendees are included and feel safe and respected while attending programs and events hosted by the Center. Peer Liaisons will also:
- connect student visitors/attendees to Pride Center and other campus resources as appropriate
- host and promote Pride Center gatherings, meetings, and events as approved by the director
- other duties as assigned
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including but not limited to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race and ethnicity, disability, socioeconomic status, citizenship, and religion.
- Comfort working with and for the benefit of LGBTQIA+ students including asexual, bisexual, gay, intersex, lesbian, nonbinary, pansexual, queer, and questioning students.
- Strong desire to acquire new knowledge about LGBTQIA+ topics.
- Friendly and personable, with excellent customer service skills.
- Reliable, professional, and respectful to all.
- Event planning and graphic design experience is a plus.
