Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will Do:Pratt & Whitney’s repair station (EHRO – East Hartford Repair Operations) has a unique opportunity for a Repair Process Engineer on the development engineering team. This is a fast-paced technical position requiring project management and technical skills to complete long-term projects along with everyday shop floor support. The Individual is responsible for day-to-day interaction with hourly workers and other departments at various levels of management.Key Responsibilities:Support day-to-day manufacturing operations, troubleshooting process issues as they come up.Develop, refine, and document processes to improve quality, repeatability, and throughput.Work closely with inspectors, operators, quality engineers, and other cross-functional partners to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.Collect and analyze data to understand trends and recommend changes.Participate in root-cause investigations and help implement corrective and preventive actions.Support new product introductions and process changes, ensuring smooth integration into production.Qualifications You Must Have:Advanced Degree and 6+ months of experience in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Military, Aftermarket or Aviation industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience.1+ years’ experience within a manufacturing environment is requiredQualifications We Prefer:University degree ideally in Engineering. Mechanical or Quality Engineering preferredFamiliarity of aerospace gas turbine engines, engine overhaul and part repair processesKnowledge of FAA Part 145, EASA, AS9110, and other relevant regulatory frameworksAbility to lead cross-functional teams and manage quality clinics or other projects effectivelyRoot Cause and Corrective Action experience (QCPC, RCCA Red-X, Fault Tree, etc.)Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, etc.), and basic statistical toolsWorking knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices & processes, quality standards, and inspections methods & toolsProficiency in MS Office, SAP ERP, Solumina MES, NX, AutoCAD, and Teamcenter is preferredComfortable working on the shop floor and collaborating with a wide range of people.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex issues.What is my Role Type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
