Industrial Sewing Machine Operator – 1st Shift | $19/hr | Experienced Machine Operator | Toledo, OHLooking for a Machine Operator role where your experience is valued? This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in manual machine operation who is dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of a key role on the production floor.The Advance Group is hiring an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator in Toledo, OH to produce and repair heavy-duty tarps for semi-trailers. This role will serve as a primary machine operator and requires strong mechanical ability and reliability.Pay:$19/hourSchedule:Monday – Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PMMust be available to stay until 4:00–5:00 PM as neededOvertime on SaturdaysIndustrial Sewing Machine Operator Responsibilities:Measure, cut, assemble, repair, and sew large industrial tarpsOperate and take ownership of industrial sewing and related machinerySet up, adjust, and monitor machines to ensure quality and efficiencyRead and interpret work orders and instructionsPerform precise measurements using a ruler, including adding/subtracting fractionsInspect finished products for qualityUse hand tools to assist in assembly and repairsMove materials from ground to work tables (bending, kneeling, crawling required)Lift and drag materials up to 75 lbsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentIndustrial Sewing Machine Operator Requirements:CNC or similar background in manual machine operationProven reliability and strong work ethicExperience using hand tools and working in a production environmentGood math skills and ability to read a ruler and work with fractionsStrong attention to detail and hand-eye coordinationAbility to work independently and take ownership of responsibilitiesAbility to stand, bend, twist, kneel, and perform physical work for extended periods including dragging 75lb tarpsAbility to work at a fast pace with repetitive tasksSafety-focused mindset and excellent attendancePrevious industrial sewing experience is a plus, but not requiredHigh school diploma or GEDThe Advance Group Benefits & Perks:Health benefits at low group ratesPaid time off and holiday pay401(k) planReferral bonusesPerformance and attendance incentivesApply with The Advance Group today if you are an experienced Machine Operator looking for a stable 1st shift opportunity where you can take on a key role and grow your skill set.Our mission is to connect dependable candidates with leading employers across Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan.
