Inspection Engineer

General Job Description Support Inspection department in technical needs. Essential Job Functions Implement and maintain automatic inspection systems and data Systems include Parsytec, Cognex, etc. Review new equipment and techniques Internal quality and problem solving Work as liaison between QC, Operations, and Inspection departments to resolve quality related issues Assist with data analysis and reports to aid investigations Assist in maintaining inspection standards and work instructions Assist in completing internal and external corrective actions Provide claims review and internal missed defect reports Perform analysis/audits of inspection records for accuracy and compliance with work instructions Supporting Functions Provide support as Calibration Manager Assist Supervisor with the Inspection department safety program Other duties and special projects as assigned by Inspection Supervisor Supplemental Job Functions Other duties as assigned Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs Set performance management expectations for direct reports Lead by example Encourage and assist in sustaining correct behaviors Incorporate, facilitate, and embrace change Be receptive and provide adequate feedback for developmental purposes Minimum Education, Skills and Experience Minimum of a B.S. Degree in a science related field (Metallurgy, Material Science, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Physics/Chemistry, Computer Science with inspection system experience) Two (2) years of relevant work experience Excellent computer skills Good time management and organizational skills Good communication skills Physical Requirements Mobility across the plant Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for technical tasks Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds Visual ability with or without correction Communication abilities Health and Safety Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations Comply with company safety rules, policies, and procedures Report absence or defect in personal protective equipment or clothing immediately Use required personal protective equipment: metatarsal boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and other PPE as applicable (respirators, fire retardant clothing, acid PPE) Follow lockout/tagout guidelines for designated equipment and machinery Follow environmental policies and regulations; maintain a clean and safe work area Environment Clean, well-ventilated and safe work areas Human Resources Expectations Abide by the company code of conduct, security procedures, and policies Maintain written and verbal communication skills, learning agility, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
