Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical experience while working with a collaborative rehabilitation team in a new healthcare setting. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises, and functional mobility interventions Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and injury prevention Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care Assist in discharge planning by providing feedback on patient progress and recommendations for continued therapy Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving mobility, restoring function, and maximizing independence Requirements Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Required: Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new clinical environments Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care What We Offer Competitive weekly pay Comprehensive benefits package Housing and travel stipends Dedicated recruiter and clinical support throughout the assignment Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a variety of healthcare settings Potential for assignment extensions and future travel opportunities Towne U.S. LLC Job ID 18906662.
