Overview Austin Children's Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant in Round Rock, TX to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Responsibilities Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures. Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models. Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed). Help dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and an emergency telephone directory. Qualifications One year or more on-the-job experience (with supporting documentation) Registered Dental Assistant - Required X-Ray certification Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended High school diploma or equivalent Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
