Buyer / Planner – Fabrication Supply Chain

Position Summary

Patriot Products Group is seeking a Buyer / Planner – Fabrication Supply Chain to manage procurement and planning of fabricated weldments supporting our pump package manufacturing operations in Texas. This role requires strong capability in ERP/MRP systems (Odoo) for planning, scheduling, tracking work-in-process, and ensuring accurate, timely material visibility across the fabrication supply chain.

The Buyer / Planner will coordinate a multi-stage fabrication supply chain involving laser cutting, forming, welding, powder coating, and final delivery into Patriot's production environment. A key component of this role is maintaining a rolling 120‑day production and procurement plan, while serving as the Fabrication Supply Chain Control Tower, ensuring system accuracy and real-time data visibility through the ERP (Odoo) platform.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication Supply Chain Control Tower

Serve as the central coordination point for the Texas fabrication supply chain, leveraging the Odoo ERP system to provide real-time visibility into demand, supply, and work‑in‑process across the entire value chain, and finishing vendors.

- Maintain a Fabrication Control Tower dashboard within Odoo or connected reporting tools.

- Ensure accurate ERP tracking of:

- 120‑day weldment demand

- Work‑in‑process at each supplier

- Powder coating status

- Finished weldments staged for delivery

- Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and shortages through system data and coordinate mitigation actions.

- Provide leadership reporting based on ERP-driven insights.

Rolling 120‑Day Supply Plan

- Use Odoo/MRP to translate Patriot's production forecast into forward‑looking supply requirements.

- Maintain and continuously update the 120‑day plan within the ERP environment.

- Ensure system accuracy for forecasts, production schedules, and supplier commitments.

Daily Supply Chain Coordination

- Use Odoo dashboards, WIP status reports, and open order reports during daily coordination.

- Communicate schedule priorities and resolve supply chain issues using ERP data.

Production Planning & Procurement

- Review Patriot production schedules and MRP demand in Odoo.

- Convert ERP demand into purchase orders and supplier schedules.

- Ensure all transactions and status updates are completed accurately in the ERP system.

Supply Chain Monitoring

- Track component progress through each fabrication stage using ERP workflows.

- Address delays or quality issues identified through ERP alerts.

Inventory & Throughput Management

- Maintain accurate inventory levels and system transactions within Odoo.

- Use ERP analytics to balance lead times, safety stock, and throughput requirements.

Supplier Performance & Continuous Improvement

- Track supplier delivery metrics and lead times in Odoo.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives using ERP reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Odoo ERP (highly preferred).

- Understanding of ERP workflows including purchasing, MRP, inventory, routing/WIP tracking, and forecasting.

- Ability to build dashboards, reports, and planning tools within an ERP environment.
