Registered Nurse - Surgical Services

Location: Johnstown, PA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shifts: Varied shifts weekly with guaranteed hours of 36. Weekend hours are every other weekend or as needed. Call requirements are one to two times per week in 8-hour increments.

Job Description: The role of the Registered Nurse in Surgical Services includes providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The nurse will work collaboratively with the surgical team to facilitate patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the perioperative period.
• Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and maintain patient records accurately.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to implement care plans effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting preferred.
• Charge experience and level 1 trauma experience is advantageous.
