Position Overview Our paid Internship program provides a rich and rewarding hands-on learning experience and the opportunity to learn about our organization. Our summer intern will work under the close direction of an experienced supervisor/manager to receive an overview of the different components of the organization. Duration This is a temporary summer internship. Official start and end dates flexible based on student's availability. Compensation $23.00/HR Location Santa Rosa, CA or Windsor, CA Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Learn about all lines of business including transportation, production, and commercial. Explore other areas of operation including safety and human resources. Prepare a presentation on each line of business worked with. Spend equal time between Production, Asphalt, Ready-mix, and Transportation. Getting general knowledge of each daily operations. Other learning opportunities and duties, as assigned. Regular and timely attendance. Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications Must be enrolled in a qualifying program Must be available to work between 20 and 40 hours per week. Must have high attention to detail. Ability to perform intermediate mathematical skills, including basic algebra. Must have a current and valid driver’s license. Safety-minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality. Must pass post offer pre-employment controlled substance testing. Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
