Position Summary

A leading community teaching hospital is seeking two reliable and skilled Endoscopy Technicians to join their Gastroenterology department for a 13-week contract assignment. In this role, you will play a critical part in patient care by preparing the endoscopy suite, maintaining a sterile and safe environment, and assisting physicians and nursing staff during gastrointestinal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Procedure Assistance: Assist the medical team during endoscopic procedures, ensuring all specialized equipment and instruments are handled properly.
• Suite & Room Prep: Set up procedure rooms with the required scopes, tools, and supplies according to physician preferences and case needs.
• Infection Control & Safety: Adhere strictly to reprocessing, sterilization, and maintenance protocols for flexible endoscopes and ancillary equipment to ensure high-level disinfection.
• Inventory Management: Monitor, restock, and organize department supplies to ensure the endoscopy suite is always prepared for scheduled and add-on cases.

Position Details & Requirements

• Experience/Skill: Proven experience working as an Endoscopy Technician.
• Schedule: Steady daytime hours (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday).
• On-Call: None required for this assignment.
