This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.The Work:Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.Duties:Writing Java Spring Boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologiesUtilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objectsImplement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOpsAgile development and delivery of softwareCommunication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.Key Requirements:To be considered for this position you must have the following:Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within the last 7 years).Professional/Education experience: 9 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree, or 7 years of relevant experience with a master's degree.U.S. Citizenship.Works well independently as well as on a team.Strong communication skills.Java, SpringBoot, AWSPython (Lambdas, Step Functions)CI/CD Principles (Maven, GitOps)Required Skills (3 of the below):Microservice architecturesExperienced working with AWS tool suite such as OSS, DynamoDB, Lambdas, and CloudWatchCI/CD Tools: AWS tools, Maven, Gitlab & GitOps; Kubernetes, Docker, AnsibleDatabase : NoSQL / MongoDB / DynamoDB Query and Schema DesignOAuth/OIDC Implementation experienceTest frameworks and automation to include Cyprus and CucumberLocation: Annapolis Junction, MD / Partial Telework (2 days per week is expected) Note : Telework granted for this position does not become available until after the individual has been in the position for a period of time, has acclimated to tasking/duties, and has meaningful work that can be done remotely. Telework can also be removed at any time.Salary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $230,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection.
