Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical40-hour evening shift, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, every other weekend and holiday.RequirementsGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent RN licenseACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire1 year Med/Surg experience preferredPALS preferredResponsibilitiesAssess and reassess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care plans.Provide patient care based on established standards, protocols, and procedures.Respect each patient and foster their sense of dignity.Teach patients and families based on identified learning needs and readiness to learn.Prepare patients and families for discharge, coordinating necessary support systems.Delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others.Document all relevant data and therapeutic interventions accurately and timely.Report on assigned patients to ensure continuity of care.Promote learning within the nursing team.Identify risks to patient safety and opportunities to reduce healthcare errors.Administer medications and IV therapy safely as per orders.Assess and manage patient pain levels effectively.Maintain and troubleshoot equipment related to patient care.State MATLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer and fully complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
