Location: Panama City, Florida 32401

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM

Pay Range (W2): $65.00–$74.25/hour

Maximum 1099 Rate: $110.00/hour

We are seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist to support Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida. Join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals providing behavioral health services to military members, their families, and retired military veterans.

What You’ll Do

Core Duties

• Practice in accordance with applicable state licensing-board requirements, the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral information, as appropriate.
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses in accordance with the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders .
• Provide individual and group psychological treatment.
• Assist medical and surgical patients in coping with illnesses, injuries, and related emotional or behavioral concerns.
• Support patient rehabilitation and recovery.
• Attend and participate in required meetings, professional staff conferences, quality-improvement activities, Mental Health Flight meetings, Commander’s staff meetings, and other professional activities as directed.
• Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical and behavioral health psychology.
• Apply psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidence-based therapies, psychological testing, and psychodiagnostic testing.
• Provide individual, family, group, and couples therapy, as appropriate.
• Conduct alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
• Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, school districts, and other stakeholders as required.
• Maintain accurate and current documentation in Mental Health and inpatient medical records, as applicable.
• Prepare evaluation and treatment reports as required.
• Participate in military-specific training, including Command-Directed Evaluations, security-clearance requirements, Military Training Instructor clearances, pre- and post-deployment screenings, PTSD care, and combat-stress services.
• Evaluate and provide treatment recommendations for patients with traumatic brain injuries.

What You’ll Need — Mandatory Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited psychology program.

Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship.

Experience: At least one year of experience practicing as a licensed Clinical Psychologist.

License: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in any U.S. state.

Life Support Certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Security: Ability to pass a government background investigation and obtain any required government security clearance.
