Manufacturing Cost Accounting Manager

Position : Manufacturing Cost Accounting Manager Employment Type : Direct Hire Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI We are seeking a Cost Accounting professional to take ownership of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory controls, and financial analysis. What You'll Do Manage and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead across a large SKU portfolio. Perform weekly and monthly manufacturing variance analysis , including PPV, labor, overhead, yield, and production variances. Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Analyze production efficiency, labor utilization, capacity, and manufacturing performance. Support and improve the company's ERP system , ensuring accurate costing, reporting, and financial data. Partner with Supply Chain on forecasting, MRP, and inventory planning . Support annual budgeting , including collaboration with department leaders on resource requirements. Evaluate CAPEX investments , including NPV and IRR analysis. Support general accounting activities and other financial initiatives as needed. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of standard costing, overhead allocation, variance analysis, and inventory valuation . Experience with overhead allocation using machine hours and/or labor hours ; sub-assembly costing experience is a plus. Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Tables, and array functions . Experience with a manufacturing-focused ERP system such as Deacom, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar . Experience with cycle count programs and inventory accuracy improvements . Knowledge of CAPEX analysis, NPV, and IRR . Familiarity with ASC 842 / finance lease accounting is a plus. CPG, cosmetics, or other high-SKU manufacturing experience is highly desirable. CPA or CMA certification and SQL/reporting experience are a plus.
