Locum OB/GYN Physician

Profession: Physician Specialty: OB/GYN Duration: 3-6 months Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm (clinic); 7:00 am - 7:00 am (call) Experience: Board Certified OB/GYN preferred; Board Eligible required License: Washington license preferred; will accept IMLC with LOQ in hand Certifications: BLS required; DEA highly preferred Must-Have: - Ability to manage labor and delivery patients - Comfort with assisting certified nurse midwives and family practice OBs - Capability to provide gynecological coverage in the emergency room - Experience working with a Level 1 Nursery Description: A locum physician is needed to work three clinic shifts and one call shift per week. The locum will manage a caseload of 60-70% obstetrics and 30-40% gynecology. The obstetrics will include a mix of high-risk and low-risk patients. The clinic has a diverse patient population with many languages spoken. Services include annual exams, abnormal uterine bleeding evaluations, birth control consultations, and surgery consultations for conditions like fibroids. Procedures such as circumcisions can be performed if desired. There is a sonographer on-site for early OB dating scans and basic gynecology evaluations. The clinic has a procedure room for LEEP and colposcopy procedures. All types of birth control methods are offered, including IUD placements. During the call shift, the locum will also read ultrasounds. Supported by a nursing team, this role includes managing patients in the Level 2 nursery. Experience with electronic medical records is required. The facility is seeking a physician who can work collaboratively with other healthcare providers. Candidates should have a clean malpractice and background history. Local candidates are preferred, with minimal travel required.
