SALARY RANGE $24.35 - $32.15 WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS The Child Support Division of the Waukesha County Corporation Counsel Office is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and service-focused professional to join our team as a Fiscal Specialist and play an important role in supporting the administration of the child support program. Starting salary range is $24.35-$25.36 per hour plus excellent benefit package. Full range extends to $32.15 per hour. The Fiscal Specialist in the Child Support Division is primarily responsible for entering and updating financial and non-financial terms of court orders in the KIDS database. In addition, this position is also responsible for ensuring money collected is correctly disbursed to parties by reviewing reports, conducting research, communicating with involved parties and employers, and determining the correct course of action. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working with confidential financial and case-related information. The candidate must be willing and able to learn how to read, interpret, and apply court-ordered financial and non-financial terms and accurately enter the required information into the KIDS system. The position also requires the ability to conduct research, review case, and financial information to determine the appropriate course of action, reconcile financial activity, identify and resolve discrepancies, and communicate effectively with parties, employers, and other individuals involved in the child support process. Supplemental Information Pursuant to Internal Revenue (IRS) 1075 Publication, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) fingerprints and criminal background checks are a component and requirement for access to Federal Tax Information (FTI). New hires must be successfully adjudicated before a start date is established and prior to granting access to FTI. Three years of post high school work experience in finance or accounting. 3. Post high school education from a recognized college or university in accounting, finance, business, or a closely related field may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
