Senior ServiceNow Developer Job Description Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with 8+ years of hands-on platform development, integration, and solution design experience. The ideal candidate can independently design and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions while taking a 360-degree view of requirements, dependencies, and platform impact before implementation. Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions across workflows, forms, catalog items, automation, and integrations.
• Build and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer workflows, custom applications, and custom tables.
• Develop and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, IntegrationHub, and third-party platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Assess upstream and downstream impacts before implementation to ensure changes do not disrupt existing functionality or data flows.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform RCA, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Ensure adherence to development standards, governance, security, and performance optimization practices.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and deployment support across environments.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Required Skills & Experience

• Working knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, and platform

• Strong debugging, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with development, testing, deployment,
hyper care, and post-production support • Hands-on experience with Asset Management / ITAM • Workplace Service Delivery (WSD) • Vulnerability Response / Vulnerability Management • Exposure to APM and other ServiceNow platform applications • Experience in large enterprise ServiceNow environments
Certifications
Mandatory ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Preferred ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD); additional relevant module certifications are advantageous Role Expectations
