Barista PositionWe are seeking a Barista with open availability to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers according to the recipes and standards of our Café. Must be able to work as part of a team to help take orders, prepare beverages and provide timely, courteous and efficient service to customers to ensure they have a joyous experience.Job Responsibilities:Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink ordersPreparing and serving beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and other specialty drinksPreparing and serving food items such as sandwiches and pastriesAnswering customers' questions about menu choicesPromoting and recommending menu options to customersTaking payment from customersTracking and ordering inventory for cafe and beverage supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, napkins and cupsMaintaining espresso machines, grinders, coffee machines and other equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairsKeeping the work environment and cafe seating area clean, sanitary and organizedResponding to and resolving customer concerns or complaintsEvaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of serviceRequirements and skills:Previous work experience as a BaristaHands-on experience with brewing equipmentKnowledge of sanitation regulationsFlexibility to work various shiftsBasic math skillsAbility to gauge customers' preferencesExcellent communication skillsHigh school diploma; relevant training is a plusHRI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides fair and equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected status prohibited under Federal, State, or local laws.
