About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Representative to support and grow our presence in the Permian Basin. The ideal candidate has strong industry relationships, a working understanding of upstream/midstream operations, and a proven ability to win new work while growing existing accounts. This role is responsible for achieving annual awarded revenue goals of $10M+ through disciplined account development, strategic targeting, and strong commercial execution. The position is hybrid and requires regular travel throughout the Midland/Odessa area and other areas as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sales or business development experience in the oil & gas industry (Permian Basin experience strongly preferred)
- Established network of industry contacts in the Permian Basin
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business goals, including annual awarded revenue targets of $10M+
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently within a territory and collaborate effectively with internal teams
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with E&P companies and pipeline operators
- Technical knowledge related to corrosion prevention and cathodic protection
- Salesforce (or similar CRM) experience
- Oil & gas construction knowledge (excavation, hydro-excavation, pipeline operations)
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Target Accounts & Relationship Growth
- Develop and manage a focused list of strategic target accounts within the Permian Basin
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with operators, service companies, and key decision-makers
- Manage existing customer accounts to ensure continued satisfaction, repeat business, and expanded scope over time
- Expand existing customer relationships and cross-sell applicable service lines based on customer needs
2. Revenue Delivery, Pipeline Development & Commercial Strategy
- Achieve annual awarded revenue goals of $10M+ by identifying, qualifying, and converting opportunities
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, site visits, and industry networking
- Support margin growth through strong commercial strategy, including disciplined qualification, pricing inputs, and proposal support
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
3. Operations Collaboration & Project Execution Support
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution from award through closeout
- Support effective handoffs from business development to operations, ensuring scope clarity and customer alignment
- Stay engaged with customers during execution to address questions, coordinate updates, and support issue resolution

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Hybrid work environment. Frequent travel throughout the Permian Basin is required, including visits to customer offices, field locations, and job sites as needed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, operate a vehicle for business travel, and comply with all safety requirements when visiting operational sites.
