St. Thomas More Hospital, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, is the cornerstone of health care services for Fremont County and surrounding southern Colorado communities. St. Thomas More offers 24hour emergency and trauma services; inpatient acute care; intensive care; labor, delivery, and nursery care; multi-modal diagnostic imaging; inpatient and outpatient surgical services; rehabilitation services; cardiopulmonary rehab and diagnostics; sleep studies; an infusion center; wound care; and a community blood bank. In this role as a Physical Therapist (PT), you will be responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and other physically-related disorders requiring mobility training, strengthening, modalities, specialized manual therapy and neuromuscular reeducation. As a Physical Therapist you will also utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. While in this position you will assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Qualified external Physical Therapist applicants are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus!

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified Physical Therapist candidates will need the following:

• Previous work experience providing direct patient care in outpatient, inpatient or inpatient rehab unit preferred
• Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
• Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, preferred
• Current Colorado state licensure as a Physical Therapist required
• BLS through the American Heart Association required
• Dry Needling Certification or Education preferred
  • Only required if performing the Dry Needling function: Dry Needling Certification or Education.

Physical Requirements-Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly

Our weekday needs are met by this full-time outpatient physical therapist, who also occasionally works on Saturdays. We can prepare recent graduates for this advantageous position. Candidates with EPIC experience are preferred.
