Registered Nurse – GI Lab

Location: Simpsonville, SC

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a busy GI Lab team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Requirements:

Active RN License required
BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification required
NIHSS Certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent GI Lab, Endoscopy, or relevant acute care nursing experience
Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
First-time travelers not accepted

Schedule:

Day Shifts
Shift hours may vary:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
On-call required
Occasional weekend coverage required

Pre-Procedure and Post-Procedure Patient Care
Moderate Sedation Recovery
Patient Assessment and Monitoring
IV Therapy
Epic EMR Documentation
Pyxis and Omnicell Medication Systems

Patient Population:

Gastroenterology Patients
Endoscopy and Procedural Patients
Outpatient and Inpatient GI Cases

Pyxis and Omnicell Medication Management Systems
Collaborative multidisciplinary care environment

Key Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care before, during, and after GI procedures
Monitor patients receiving sedation and assist with recovery care
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety standards
Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery expectations
