Key Responsibilities of the RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

• Perform spinal taps and titrate critical drips including sedation, vasoactive, and paralytic drips
• Conduct sedated MRIs, EKG/EEG/Telemetry, and Port Access & Discontinuation
• Manage intubation/extubation procedures
• Provide high-level nursing care with a 1:1-2 patient ratio using Alaris IV pumps, Bair hugger, and ventilators
• Utilize Meditech for electronic medical records (EMR)

Requirements of the RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

• Valid RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year pediatric ICU nursing experience
• Ability to float to NICU or Ob/GYN if qualified
