Department DetailsWork schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Job SummaryThe role involves utilizing equipment to gather blood and other fluid samples from patients and residents. You will explain procedures to individuals and gather necessary information in a professional manner. Responsibilities include:
- Collecting and managing blood samples and specimens while ensuring the safety of patients and residents during the process.
- Accurately recording and documenting patient and resident information.
- Adhering to all standard procedures and safety regulations, employing aseptic techniques during phlebotomy.
- Engaging with patients and residents to collect health information and address their inquiries regarding phlebotomy procedures.
- A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required.
- Certification as a phlebotomist is necessary for this position.
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, along with prior phlebotomy experience and experience in a laboratory setting, is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
