Manager - Master Data Governance

As the Manager - Master Data Governance, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day governance activities for customer master data. This role supports the implementation and adoption of governance policies, standards, controls, data quality rules and data cleansing to improve the accuracy, consistency, and usability of customer master data. The manager coordinates with business, IT, data stewards, and governance stakeholders to support issue resolution, monitor governance KPIs, and embed sustainable governance practices into business processes.Responsibilities:Plans the realization of specific business outcomes through the collection, governance and curation of Customer data (both mastered and unmastered)Manages and supports Customer Master Data Domain Governance activities, helping embed governance practices into routine business operations and day-to-day decision-making.Partners with business functions and stakeholders to support implementation of Master Data Governance principles, processes, requirements, and roadmap activities in the customer domain, while helping coordinate changes as needed.Maintains master data standards, data quality rules, controls, and stewardship practices, and monitors their consistent application across systems and business processes.Coordinates the work of data stewards, governance specialists, analysts, and technical partners to support operational governance, issue management, and cross-functional alignment. Tracks and reports governance KPIs and data-quality metrics, highlighting improvements, operational impacts, issue trends, and value delivered through effective master data oversight. Supports external-auditor-level controls where applicable. Supports operational excellence in governance operations by identifying process improvements, strengthening stewardship workflows, and using governance tools to monitor, control, and manage master data. Seeks out opportunities to create new entities and attributes within the data to extend the capabilities of our Customer data. Tracks and measures the creation of value for the enterprise through the accomplishment of objectives within the Customer data roadmap. Manages, evaluates and develops staff and provides coaching and developmental opportunities. Responsible for oversight of evaluating, configuring, and maintaining master data systems. Recommends changes in programs, routines, and quality control standards. Meets with product owners, department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems. Presents recommendations to management relating to purchasing and installing hardware and software. Stays abreast of advances in technology or data governance. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree – Information Technology, Business or equivalent experience required; Masters Degree preferred. 5 years required in master data management, data governance or data operations. Informatica Customer 360 knowledge is a preferred qualification. 3 + years of experience working with Informatica MDM and Data solutions. 1 + years Management or Supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of data concepts, data quality management, data controls, and enterprise data operating models. Strong team leadership and project management experience across multiple simultaneous initiatives. Skilled in the management of complex systems and navigating through ambiguity. 5 years of Leadership presence with the ability to formulate and communicate clear vision preferred. Solid analytical skills - able to solve problems & interpret instructions in any form. Communication – ability to pass messages using different channels (verbal and written). Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Facilitating – ability to organize and facilitate multidisciplinary teams through Project (large or small). Change management – ability to communicate a need for change, create all necessary conditions for successful change and overcome different forms of resistance. Coaching – ability to coach people to develop their skills and abilities to achieve agreed upon objectives. Training – ability to identify and formulate training needs and assure training execution and follow up. Ability to travel up to 25%. Preferred Qualifications: 7 years preferred of data processing, system analysis design, and operations experience. 5 years preferred working with Informatica Customer MDM and Data solutions. 5 years of Leadership presence with the ability to formulate and communicate clear vision and sense of direction and mobilize people. #LI-SG1This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
