Elementary Music Teacher

Job Description Newbury Elementary School seeks an enthusiastic, engaging, and dynamic elementary music teacher to provide music education to students in grades preschool through six. The teacher will plan and deliver instruction in listening activities, playing instruments, singing, dancing, movement, and other musical experiences to promote enjoyment, appreciation, and performance. The role requires knowledge of current teaching methods, educational pedagogy, differentiated instruction, trauma‑informed instruction, and strong classroom management. Responsibilities Weekly music instruction to all classes in grades PK‑6. Director of grade‑wide choral groups in grades 4‑6. Instruction of the recorder in the Grade 3 curriculum. Teaching instrumental lessons to Beginner Band students and conducting the NES Beginner Band. Stipend position directing one selected choir group that meets outside of the school day. Other duties: assemblies, Winter Concert, Spring Concert, Halloween Parade, Holiday Sing‑Along. Requirements DESE Licensure in Music (All Levels). At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred. Master's degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required. Job Details Position Type: Full‑time. Salary: $56,935 to $111,105 per year.
