THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to provide systems administration support for contract-owned and operated systems within a classified enterprise environment. This role supports Tier 2 and Tier 3 troubleshooting, operating system lifecycle maintenance, and change management activities.
The ideal candidate is a strong Windows administrator with experience supporting secure, enterprise-level environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Tier 3 support for in-house developed systems and site-unique enhancements.
- Support maintenance of current and future versions of supported IT systems.
- Maintain server operating systems at required versions.
- Maintain COTS, GOTS, and Open-Source software at required versions.
- Perform installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of supported systems.
- Support incident, change, and configuration management processes in accordance with lifecycle support requirements.
- Administer Active Directory user and group management functions.
- Support VMware virtual machine administration and Virtual Desktop environments.
- Provide support for DNS, DHCP, backup and restore operations, SAN storage fundamentals, and desktop imaging tools.
- Assist with PowerShell scripting and automation efforts as needed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Position located on-site
- DAY shift position
- Minimum active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility; AND,
- DoD 8140/8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) certification; AND,
- 10 years of relevant IT systems engineering or systems administration experience supporting enterprise Windows environments.
PREFERRED:
- Experience supporting systems within classified DoD enterprise environments.
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
