IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC)
Duties
Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities across agency systems.
Manage and maintain antivirus, endpoint firewall, device control, and endpoint detection and response tools.
Conduct regular security reviews, assessments, and audits of production and development systems.
Document, escalate, and assist in the remediation of identified security incidents and risks.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current cybersecurity best practices, standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Support configuration, hardening, and maintenance of Linux operating systems and core infrastructure.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement secure solutions and improve security posture.
Prepare and deliver reports and recommendations to leadership on security operations and findings.
Provide technical guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity policies, procedures, and tools.
Participate in the development and enforcement of organizational cybersecurity policies and procedures.
This is a Non-Bargaining Unit Position. This position is primarily aligned to the following NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework work roles: Cybersecurity Code 461- Systems Security Analyst.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am-4:30 pm
Compressed/Flexible: As determined by the Agency Policy.
Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and to attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. Some employees may carry light items, such as papers, books, or small parts, or drive a motor vehicle. The work does not require any special physical effort.
Working Conditions: The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Some employees may occasionally be exposed to uncomfortable conditions in such places as research and production facilities.
