We are currently seeking a full-time Roadside Mowing Tractor Operator to join our team in the Tampa, FL area. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, including John Deere 6130 tractor and 15' Bush Hog mowing decks, to perform roadside mowing and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform additional tasks such as small machine mowing, weed control, and other related duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Adjust to changing work schedules and be available for on-call and overtime work as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 year of experience operating heavy equipment, including John Deere 6130 tractor and 15' Bush Hog mowing decks.
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
- Ability to maintain and use proper safety equipment for each job.
- Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
- Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required.
- Experience in roadway maintenance, small machine mowing, and weed control is preferred.
- MOT Certifications are a plus.
