About the Position

Job Title: RN Surgery Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS Must-Have: Previous Epic Experience required Description: Delivers care to patients intra-operatively utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Delivers care to patients intra-operatively in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the surgical patient and health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Primary duties include circulating procedures, instrumentation of procedures, and assisting surgeon and/or anesthesia providers. Provides high-quality care to surgical patient populations of any age undergoing surgical procedures in various specialties, including: ENT, General, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Dental/Oral surgery, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology, Vascular, and Bariatric. Clinical care activities and nursing services include circulating, instrumenting, first assisting, patient education, and serving as a resource nurse. Call requirements include approximately 70-80 hours in a 4-week period with a response time of 30 minutes. This position will consist of 30 hours in the first week and 40 hours in the second week for a total of 70 hours in a two-week scheduling period.
